    Our ADHD Medication Follow-Up service is designed to ensure your treatment remains safe, effective, and tailored to your ongoing needs. These review appointments are essential after starting ADHD medication, helping our specialist clinician monitor your progress, assess symptom improvement, and make any necessary dose adjustments. Ongoing specialist review is recommended as part of safe prescribing practice.

    Before your appointment, we may ask you to complete symptom questionnaires and treatment feedback forms. You will also need updated physical health observations such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, and height, which can be completed with your GP or local healthcare provider. These checks help ensure the medication continues to be safe and suitable.

During the follow-up consultation, the clinician will review:

• Improvement in focus, attention, and impulsivity
• How long the medication benefits last
• Any side effects or sleep/appetite changes
• Blood pressure, pulse, weight, and growth (if applicable)
• Whether the dose needs adjusting
• Next steps in the treatment plan

    Once your medication is stable, we can provide a shared care recommendation to your GP where appropriate, allowing long-term prescriptions to be managed smoothly with continued specialist oversight.
