ADHD Medication Titration

Our ADHD Medication Titration service is a carefully supervised process designed to help find the right medication and the most effective dose with the fewest side effects. Since ADHD medication affects each person differently, titration is an essential step to ensure treatment is both safe and personalised. The process usually begins with a low starting dose, which is gradually adjusted over several weeks based on your response.

Before starting titration, we require baseline physical health checks, including blood pressure, pulse, weight, and height (if applicable). In some cases, your clinician may also review ECG, blood tests, and GP medical summary records to ensure medication suitability and safe prescribing.

During the titration phase, you will have regular follow-up reviews every 3–4 weeks. These appointments help monitor:

• Improvement in attention, focus, and impulsivity
• Side effects such as appetite, sleep, or mood changes
• Blood pressure, pulse, and weight
• Duration of symptom control
• Whether dose increases or medication changes are needed

Once the optimal and stable dose is achieved, we provide a shared care recommendation to your GP where appropriate, allowing long-term prescriptions to continue with specialist oversight and regular medication reviews.
